5 Fun summer hairstyles you should be wearing!

1) You can wear this classic look with a bandana or with a large ribbon. Either way, wear it with your favorite summer shorts and lip gloss, you are effortlessly set!

2) If you don't have a snood for this look, you can cheat by pinning a knitted cap on your hair.
But if you want to buy a snood, you can get it here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/cherriesandanchors

3) Put on your favorite floral dress, then add this VERY easy braided updo look.
For a more girly touch, add flowers to your braids or a floral crown! Extremely adorable!

4) How about a stylish faux hawk!? You cannot go wrong with this look! You can wear it with shorts and thigh high socks, with your favorite band tank top!

5) It can't get any easier than a cute pony tail! But, pair this look with some pedal pushers, tennis shoes and a polka dot print bustier and you will be gushing in cuteness!

Yesenia's pin up hair!

I made a video with a subscriber. It was a lot of fun.

Here is the hair style she requested

Here we are together once we were done. She decided to wear the curl going down instead of up.

Yesenia has a beautiful family that she really loves. I was very lucky to meet such a sweet and humble person.

After our video, we sat down and talked about self esteem. We were able to record our conversation, so be sure to subscribe to my vlogging channel IrisVlogging on YouTube, so that you can see and hear that!

Here is the recipe that I got from Allrecipes.com.
As you can see, I excluded the coconut oil and flaked coconut. You can add them in if you want!

My Clairol Hair Color Change Experience

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to get my hair styled by professional celebrity hair stylist, Gilbert Muniz. "His celebrity roster includes Abigail Spencer, Alison Brie, Brittney Gastineau, Patricia Kennedy, Paz Vega, Aubrey O' Day, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Jaime Ray Newman, Jonathan Bennett, and Natalie Zea, just to name a few."

Arriving in Los Angeles, and admiring the scenes...

This will actually be a photo blog coming soon through Clairol, but I wanted to give you a peek at what happened that day!
The color we chose is called "Coffee Creme" by Clairol Natural Instincts.
We started off with some natural looking makeup for my "before" picture:

Here is my "before" photo, also posted on instagram (Instagram name ILoveGerard0)
I applied the color myself and was now working on adding the final conditioning step. They took photos of me during the process for their photo blog.

The last step of this process smells SOOOOOO YUMMY ANNNND, it leaves your hair feeling like a silk scarf!

Now, it was time to get my hair styled by Gilbert!
Here is his website in case you want to know more about him.
http://gilbertmuniz.com/index2.php#/home/

And now, my hair is done!

Time for makeup!!Kimberly's make up on me made me feel like a whole other woman! I loved it and wish I could do my make up like she did it, every day!

TADA!What do you think??? Like it?

This is Jose! He is the one who gave me this opportunity.

Pictured below: Me, Gilbert Muniz, Make up artist Kimberly Bragalone and beautiful YouTube guru, Giselle from http://www.youtube.com/user/SprintingStilettosTV

We did take some professional photos, but those are to come! I will make sure to announce when they are up on Clairol! It was a fun filled day and something that is definitely out of the ordinary for me. If you follow my vlogging channel, you know my life is pretty average :)

After the shoot, hubby and I went out on a date to Hollywood and then Beverly Hills. No need to waste this good hair and makeup! (Not my hubby in the photo)

Just walking around site-seeing:

I had the salmon and veggies. Hubby had the steak and fries!
I hope you enjoyed coming along with me on this trip! I asked hubby to take as many photos as possible, so that you all got to see too. Thanks for reading my blog and I hope you are having a good day so far!

What I do

I make hair tutorials on YouTube. But I created this blog to connect with my fellow writers/bloggers. I've also created a myspace account, but I don't like the format for blogging. I'd rather blog here. As far as something to note about me: I rarely have will power when it comes to dieting. I'd rather eat what I want, but in moderation. I like girly stuff, but I don't like doing my own hair. I rarely do my own hair, so if you saw me in the street, you'd probably not recognize me. But if you ever saw me, I would love it if you came to say hi. Thanks for reading my blogs.
